Black Bears fans show their excitement at home opener

It’s hard to believe it has already been over a week since the Black Bears’ home opener on November 29. A dominant 11-5 victory on the floor, it was a win in the stands, too.

Friday’s inaugural game saw Canadian Tire Centre packed with 7,000 fans there to support the team. Donning their Black Bears jerseys and raising their claws high, the energy in the building no doubt helped propel the team to their win.

The Coors Original Rally Row was full as fans enjoyed the game at field level while snacking and sipping on their food and drinks. Taking in the action from right by the glass, it was a true party atmosphere.

Beyond Rally Row, the party didn’t stop. Fans’ chants rang out through the arena the entirety of the game as they were able to cheer on their Black Bears to victory. There’s no doubt that the atmosphere of Canadian Tire Centre played a part in the team’s success.

The fun didn’t stop after the game, as fans packed Bert’s for a meet and greet to mingle with players. Seeing the fan support meant a lot to the team. “It truly means a lot to us,” said captain Jeff Teat. “To see people enjoying lacrosse, for us, it means everything.”

Don’t miss out on the party — the Black Bears return to play at home this Friday in their Home for the Holidays game at 7:00 p.m. ET. Come cheer on the team in what promises to be an exciting game as they take on the reigning champions the Buffalo Bandits. As part of their holiday celebration, the Black Bears will be hosting their inaugural Teddy Bear Toss. Grab your tickets to the game HERE!
