Meet Cubby!

Introducing Ottawa’s newest and most mischievous resident!

Like many bears, Cubby was born in the woods. Living amongst nature, while peaceful, was never enough to feed Cubby’s appetite for adventure. Seeking a life beyond the forest, the young black bear travelled from city to city in search of a new home — but the hustle and bustle of a major metropolis just wasn’t the right fit. When Cubby’s travels brought him to the Ottawa-Gatineau region, he instantly felt at home, embracing the community atmosphere and endless outdoor activities.

Full of energy and mischief, Cubby is always scheming his next great prank to pull. Whether it’s by hosting dance parties or playing a pick-up game of lacrosse, Cubby is always down to have fun.
